Nope, not your computer cables, but rather the cables that are holding up your office! Every year our bridge crews go out (hopefully) and check the cables holding up our bridges for signs of wear and disrepair… and we should be doing the same in our offices. We need to check all the office cables to be sure they’re as secure as they were when we opened the practice.
- Is our TLC care of patients as good as it could be?…….are we remembering to give them the very best experience possible?
- Is everyone on the same page with office systems? It might be time for a full systems review just to be sure. Sometimes new staff training slacks a little bit with each office addition and isn’t really the plan we started with from first to last hired.
- Does the office look really terrific?…..Sit and stand in every spot a patient would and see what they see…..if cleaning, painting or general maintenance are needed, it’s time to get at it.
- Are we remembering to work as hard on patient retention as on new patient acquisitions?…. Remember, our recalls are our most valuable effort.
- Have we let our marketing slack off because we’re “too busy?”…..That certainly is a great way to get less busy!
If we invest a little time in keeping the office superstructure in good shape, we’ll be much less likely to need to survive a good dunking down the road!
