Because every office is trying to get the best value for the dollar, we should be taking advantage of all the free training that’s constantly being offered. Every dental software I’ve used has a website with free training videos and some even produce “webinars” where staff members can learn in an interactive fashion. In chatting with staff members who’ve taken advantage of these free services, we’ve even learned a few things we didn’t know about a particular software. With the relatively price of software training, it’s a good investment for the doctor to give staff members some time to study the videos and “attend” the webinars. Also, if the practice has purchased support for your dental software, you really want to remember to use it. You pay for the whole year whether you use it or not, and so many mistakes could be avoided….. and so many things done better….. if support were called. While we know there is often some hold time, get accustomed to the best times to call to get through quickly with your questions.
