Considering the noticeable lack of customer service that we experience everywhere we go, when a dental practice provides excellent service, it gets noticed in a very positive fashion. This morning I was explaining our philosophy on customer service to a broker, and I realized it’s one that exists in relatively few businesses. We ask staff and doctors we work with to provide only the best in customer service…..to consider the patient’s needs above their needs and to remain pleasant and upbeat regardless of the challenges that come their way. This isn’t always an easy task, and it sometimes even requires swallowing pride and changing or delaying personal plans and goals. We have however seen in office after office, that when this extremely high level of patient care and quality service is established, financial success and speedy practice growth always follow. A good business plan is vital….but if it’s all you have, you’re doing things in the wrong order. Chasing the money never moves you as far or as fast as solid gold patient care. Being a positive, optimistic leader in your office and your community creates the sound financial base you and your practice need and deserve.
