As dental practice consultants, we’ve written quite a bit about the hiring process, but not as much about the ad to attract good interviews. When creating the ad, give a lot of thought to the job description, what qualities you want, and what personality will fit into your practice. Create a strong ad that emphasizes what you need and also what you have to offer. If your office is a fun place or offers flexible hours, be sure to mention that. If you don’t have the time or extra staff to train from scratch, include that the candidate must have experience, and decide how much. We also strongly suggest you request a cover letter with the resume…..it tells you a lot (positive or negative) about the candidate right from the start.
